8-MEGAPIXEL CAMERA JAI AM-800GE

As I may have mentioned before, the use of a 5-megapixel camera does not allow the optical resolution of the lens to keep up with the smaller cell size. Therefore, our stance that 5-megapixel cameras cannot be recommended has not changed much.
This time, we received a request from one of our users to check the operation of an 8-megapixel camera because he wanted to use it, and we gave it a try.

JAI CM-800GEIt is.
The camera has a large 4/3" CCD element and a large cell size of 5.5 x 5.5μm. The lens is F mount.
The captured image looks like this.

The resolution is higher than expected!
By the way, this is what it looks like at 2 megapixels.

Extremely effective for one-shot inspection of circuit boards.
