Will robots take human jobs?

Robots take human jobs.

Typical scholarly thinking, I guess.

Our efforts to "replace visual inspectors" and whether we are even able to do so is troubling.

The biggest barrier is "cost.

It is faster and cheaper for people to do it, both in terms of initial costs and operating costs.

If that happens, would you bother with a robot....

But work that can be completed in the software world, such as drawing conclusions based on past experience and knowledge, seems dangerous because it does not cost much.

A high-cost "president" might be the most likely target.
