finally reaching a point where things are settled

The flurry of activity that has been going on since before the exhibition has finally come to an end.
#In just over 10 days since the exhibition, we have replayed the seminar three times...
#We will be able to provide you with the handouts for the seminar tomorrow morning.

Here are some of the many stories we have heard recently.

  • KEYENCE'S CV-3000 SERIES IS WELL MADE. BUT IT IS A BIT EXPENSIVE (= OVER 2 MILLION).
  • The option to "make it" with development costs is almost non-existent. Even the user side is beginning to realize the risks. And of course, the cost is not right.
  • Even for sites and equipment manufacturers with "make-it-yourself" technical capabilities, it is indeed hard to be "one-size-fits-all". They want to use whatever works well.
  • Even equipment marketed as "equipment" may not have a very high level of inspection. Even if the handling is done, the "image" has not reached a satisfactory level.
  • Needs remain high.

Future market trends are

  • The limit is 2 million yen for the image processing unit (hardware + software).
  • The mainstream is for the field to try and select a finished product that has versatility. As a result, the right to decide which manufacturer's image processing to use shifts from the "equipment manufacturer" to the "field site.
  • The custom "make" market will be on the side or shrinking.
  • Sites that have the ability to "try" will try and choose. Those sites that do not have the ability to "test" will continue to respond with manpower tactics using foreign workers.

It seems like it would be.
