IEEE1394 CONNECTION CAMERA

The following camera connections have been verified
Argo DMK21F04 monochrome VGA,30fps
Argo DFK21AF04 Color VGA,30fps
Argo DFK31AF03 Color XGA,15fps
During this connection verification process, we implemented a mechanism in FlexInspector to support Bayer output cameras.
Although there may be a problem with the camera's internal color conversion method, we were able to confirm that the image quality was definitely better when the Bayer B&W image was received to the PC and color conversion was performed on the PC side. Specifically, it was noticeable when performing a live performance, and while colors flickered at the pixel level in the "color output" method, this phenomenon was hardly observed in the "Bayer B&W to PC color conversion" method, and a stable color image could be obtained.
We have been using DMK21F04 on an "experimental level" for some time now, and have not observed any particular problems.
However, there have been a number of questions about its stability, so we conducted a continuous load test using a notebook PC + remote I/O + IEEE1394 camera, and will report the verification results at a later date.
I hear that "CameraLink" is only popular in Japan. Overseas, "IEEE1394" is the mainstream.
#If the performance is really good, an IEEE1394/USB2 camera that does not require a board is far cheaper than the expensive combination of a CameraLink board and CameraLink camera (less than half the price of a "camera + board").
Our stance in this area is to "only have proof of concept.
