character reader

We recently visited a customer who had delivered a version of FlexInspector with an additional character reading function to perform a flow check.
The film was so wavy due to the heat treatment after printing that each letter danced rightward and leftward at a 10-degree angle when viewed with the camera. The letter "5" was almost like an "S" if it was tilted down to the right.
I was not sure if it was unreadable, but after a little additional registration, the recognition rate was about 99%.
To be honest, I had no idea that the condition was so bad until I saw it on site (the print quality was very good, but due to heat treatment), and I realized once again how scary it is to see live samples on site.
This was the first time we introduced the character reading function to the field, and I am very grateful that we were allowed to run a number of samples in the field like this. Even if you create an interesting technology, you often don't know what you're doing until you run a large number of samples in the field, and I feel that FlexInspector is a major pillar of the company, and we have the advantage of being able to test various things as an additional function.
Maybe we should build a dedicated text reader...
