Reasons for not taking orders for "custom"

Occasionally we receive inquiries for "custom" imaging equipment.
However, we almost always turn them down.

This is partly because we can't handle it in terms of manpower, but also because, in my opinion, customization is not in the best interest of the user.

For a "custom" imaging system,

  • Since the objective is to "replace visual inspection work," costs are limited.
  • On the other hand, it is extremely difficult to construct inspection algorithms and simple operation. It is also difficult to draw the "end" line.
  • As a result, from the manufacturer's point of view, "it is inevitable that we will not be able to take care of them," and they will inevitably be halfway there.

and other problems.

In the end, the user has a choice to make.

  1. The user evaluates ready-made products thoroughly by himself/herself before buying them. Buy only ready-made products.
  2. Users build and operate the system themselves.

either. Either way, the user's own work is key.

Even if I were a "user" myself, I would never choose the "custom" option.
This is the reason why I do not take orders for "custom".
