News that the developer has gone bankrupt...

I thought it was too amazing to challenge an incredibly difficult technology and offer it for less than 2 million dollars, and at the same time, I thought, "If this sells, I will have to rethink my way of thinking.

Laundry folding and visual inspection automation are similar in that they are automation of "what people can do" and automation of "what people can do better.

What is important is the amount of value to be gained by automation. How much does it cost to operate in relation to that?

Responding to items that did not fold up properly
Maintaining equipment and responding to malfunctions

The cost of operation is large relative to the value gained. The disadvantages would then be greater. Even if the initial cost is 2 million, even if the initial cost is 200,000, the operating benefits were likely to be negative for the theme.

If we could fold them 10 times faster than a person could... We don't have that much.
If we could fold them cleaner than a person could... So what?
So what?

Would your wife be happy to go home with a nearly 2 million Randroid?
Did you not imagine that much?
