Why automate?

 

Automation is a good idea.

It's faster than people can do it.

The result is more beautiful than when done by hand.

We can do what others can't.

You can work 24 hours a day (although you don't have to work 24 hours a day if you're early)

I understand then.

 

however

It's faster if people do it.

It is more accurate if a person does it.

There is absolutely no significance in automating such a thing.

 

Cost a lot to develop and implement

There are maintenance costs to operate the system.

Maintenance costs may be greater than the benefits gained from operating the system.

Might be a buzzkill, but only at first.

 

I LOOK AT THE WORLD TREND OF AUTOMATION, ROBOTIZATION, AND AI IN EVERYTHING AND WONDER, "WHAT'S THAT ALL ABOUT?

I wish they would at least stop subsidizing and subsidizing. It's really just a waste of money.

If you're going to talk about productivity gains, at least make it only for those that are estimated to be four times or more.
