FlexInspector: Looking Ahead to the Next 10 and 20 Years — Announcing Windows 11 Support and Ongoing Feature Enhancements —
Thank you for always using FlexInspector.
FlexInspector is a visual inspection software program we released at the 2004 Image Sensing Exhibition. We developed it based on the principle that “if it looks the same as a good product, it is a good product,” and in 2007, we received an A-rank certification from the Kyoto City Venture Company Evaluation Committee.
More than 20 years have passed since its release. We have faced a wide variety of inspection challenges at our customers’ sites and have continuously refined the product based on that experience. Today, hundreds of FlexInspector units are in operation, supporting daily production.
We would like to express our heartfelt gratitude for your continued patronage over the years. We believe it is our responsibility to ensure that you can continue to use the inspection equipment that is currently in operation.
As part of our efforts in this regard, we have added support for the latest version of the HALCON image processing library, enabling compatibility with Windows 11. With an eye toward future updates to inspection PCs and OS migrations, we are working to ensure that you can continue to use FlexInspector.
In addition, by utilizing AI-powered coding to refactor and improve the structure of programs developed over many years, we have enhanced operational stability. By making it easier to implement future improvements and perform maintenance, we are also strengthening the foundation for software that can be used for many years to come.
We also utilize AI coding to add new features. We will continue to incorporate feedback from the field and new image processing technologies from HALCON into FlexInspector more quickly to enhance its inspection capabilities and usability.
We’ll carry the inspection expertise we’ve honed on the job for over 20 years into the next 10 and 20 years.
We will continue to develop FlexInspector—which has been used by our customers for many years—into software that remains useful in the field.
If you are considering upgrading to Windows 11, updating your inspection PCs, or adding new features, please contact us at ovit. We will verify your current version and configuration—including cameras and image input boards—and guide you through the upgrade process.
