At a customer we visited today

Today, I visited a customer who contacted us via the Internet.
During our conversation, I would like to reiterate a point that you did not understand from this blog and other information.

1) FlexInspector is software that runs on ordinary PCs.

ALTHOUGH IT MAY BE DIFFICULT FOR USERS WHO HAVE BEEN USING "READY-MADE" IMAGE SENSORS TO UNDERSTAND, A SIMPLE EXPERIMENTAL ENVIRONMENT CAN BE CREATED BY SIMPLY COMBINING AN IEEE1394 CAMERA WITH YOUR NOTEBOOK COMPUTER. THE LICENSE KEY IS USB-BASED AND WORKS WITH THE PC TO WHICH THE KEY IS ATTACHED.

We want to make it possible to build an experimental environment with as little cost as possible and use it where it can be successfully applied.

2) FlexInspector does not compare good products.

Many people seem to think that FlexInspector is just a difference checker or pattern matching. For convenience, we use the expression "comparative inspection," but it is not.
In the case of differential inspection, a typical good product, also known as "God's good product," is compared with the inspected product. As you can see when you try it, many subtle differences occur. If we scrutinize these closely, it is highly likely that defects will also disappear.
Pattern matching, to the extent that it registers several good products, will give a slightly better result than differential inspection.

FlexInspector statistically determines the range of good images (upper and lower binarization level limits per pixel) by registering many good images. The image is inspected to see if it falls within that range. Even if a large number of good images are registered, the inspection does not become more lax, but rather a more stable distribution is generated, which increases the validity of the inspection.

I am most pleased when people comment that my work is "interesting.
The fact that we are still considered "innovative" even though we have been doing this for almost four years is probably due to the rigidity of the industry.
