Quality Manufacturing Equipment

The other day, a Japanese company came to our office and we had a lot to talk about.
We could not understand why he was considering FlexInspector, as he told us that "labor cost is 10,000 yen/month" at his local factory.
At the very least, it should not be a "labor saving" or "labor cost reduction.
He said, "Because we want to improve quality.
Frankly, it was an eye-opener. At least, it was a concept that we did not hear much about in Japan.
Let me explain the concept of FlexInspector again.
We statistically process the manufactured good products and statistically determine the range of good products.
Then, the inspection is carried out to determine whether or not the product is within the range of good products.
Any part that is not within the range of good products is considered to be defective.
What will happen if we conduct inspections based on this concept?
What happens when quality improves and the variability of good parts becomes smaller?
FlexInspector may be a "quality manufacturing device" that presents one high hurdle after another.
