ovit is currently developing a next-generation visual inspection platform.

Rather than rebuilding the system from scratch, we are conducting a comprehensive review of the software assets we have developed through FlexInspector and FIS200, and are working to organize and extract the know-how accumulated within them.

The source code, which has been refined over more than 20 years, is packed with countless insights gained from real-world experience.

This kind of knowledge often remains buried within the code.

So, we are currently using AI to analyze source code and organize the design philosophy and know-how into Markdown-formatted documents.

The goal is not simply to create a specification document.

The goal is to structure knowledge in a way that is easy for AI to understand, thereby enabling us to leverage the assets we have accumulated over many years for next-generation development.

Based on this organized knowledge, we will develop a new visual inspection platform using AI-powered coding.

AI is not magic.

Without sufficient knowledge and a sound design philosophy, it is impossible to produce software of the expected quality.

However, if we organize our years of experience and present it in a format that AI can utilize, development speed will improve significantly.

Rather than simply handing our work over to AI, we aim to “pass on the know-how we’ve cultivated on the job to AI.”

Visual inspections are unique to each product, and the challenges vary from customer to customer.

That is precisely why we intend to evolve our development style to one that is suited to this new era, while making the most of the technical assets we have built up over the years.

Now that we’ve entered the age of AI, it may be that the experience we’ve accumulated over the years is what holds the most value.
