After International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology and Equipment 2013

We exhibited at the International Technical Exhibition on Image Technology and Equipment 2013 held at Pacifico Yokohama from December 4 to 6, 2013.
Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to visit our booth and attend our exhibitor seminars.
As for our impressions, we would like to express our gratitude for your visit to our booth,
(1) The number of general visitors decreased further. (again this year, down 5% from the previous year)
2) People on site still did not know what to look for.
3) Clearly, the number of Chinese visitors was increasing. Until now, they were rarely seen.
I feel that this is a good thing.
Frankly speaking, I feel that the exhibition has lost its appeal as an exhibitor.
It was right after seeing the "I can't even walk" activity at the Robot Exhibition last month, and it was just too much....
But if you consider it as an "information exchange meeting," then it may be "possible.
What impressed me the most this time was that I was able to talk with a person from Keyence's planning department.
I got a good impression that he was "fighting on the frontlines.
The scale is naturally different, but I felt that the issues we are facing are the same.
Trying to make the technology of image processing work at the field level.
Skills, costs... many, many high barriers appear.
In order to break through these barriers, I think it is necessary to face the "field.
The cost of using only cameras, lighting, lenses, and libraries without facing the shop floor is not small. With the market overflowing with needs for automated inspection, we need to reconsider the fact that the "Gyokai" exhibition has turned out to be like this.
